Creating impactful content in collaboration with creators is essential for a successful campaign. At Vamp, we believe in giving creators the creative freedom they need to produce authentic and engaging content that resonates with their audience. This article outlines how to effectively collaborate with creators, review their content, and provide constructive feedback.
Empowering Creators with Creative Freedom
When collaborating with creators, it's crucial to allow them the creative freedom to interpret the brief in their own style. Here are some key points to consider:
-
Let Them Shine: If you’re working with a creator known for their humor or specific content style, allow them to express their personality. This authenticity is what their followers expect and appreciate.
-
Trust Their Expertise: Creators understand their platform, audience, and the types of content that perform well. Overly prescriptive briefs can lead to uninspired and forced content.
Objective Feedback Points
While creative freedom is vital, there are objective aspects where feedback is necessary:
-
Hashtags: Specify which hashtags should be used to enhance visibility.
-
Product Details: Ensure that key product information is included in the content.
-
Campaign Headlines/Hooks: Highlight important messaging that must be incorporated.
-
Brand Guidelines: Clarify logo placements, font usage, and any other visual guidelines.
-
Tone of Voice: Define acceptable language, including any phrases to avoid (e.g., no swearing).
-
Legal/Regulatory Considerations: Ensure compliance with relevant laws.
-
Music: Confirm that any music used is cleared for usage.
Areas Not to Restrict Creators
Be cautious about providing detailed restrictions on the following, unless already outlined in the brief:
- Content Location
- Clothing Choices
- Tone of Speech
- Editing Style
- Musical Style
- Humor Approach
Providing excessive detail in these areas can stifle creativity and reduce the quality of the output.
How to Review Content
To review submitted content, follow these steps:
Step 1: Navigate to Requires Review Tab
- From your campaign homepage (timeline), click on the Requires Review tab.
Step 2: Select Content to Review
- Click on the content you’d like to review. This will open a window displaying the content and any accompanying proposed caption (if relevant). The type of content will be indicated in the bottom left corner.
Approving Content
Step 1: Review Content and Caption
- After reviewing, if you’re satisfied with the content and caption, click Approve. This action informs the creator to proceed with posting within their assigned period (displayed in the bottom left corner of the window).
Important Note
- Approval Caution: Once you approve content, the action cannot be reversed. Double-check for any mistakes before confirming.
Approving with Changes
- If the content is nearly perfect but requires minor caption adjustments, edit the caption directly in the feedback section and then hit Approve. The creator will be notified of the changes.
Rejecting Content
If the content needs changes, you can reject it based on your original brief. Here’s how:
Step 1: Click Reject
- Click the Reject button. This will prompt you to provide feedback.
Step 2: Provide Feedback
-
Select Brief Requirements: Indicate any elements that did not meet the brief (dos or don'ts).
-
Caption Changes: If minor grammatical or spelling changes are needed, copy and paste the caption into the feedback box and make the necessary edits.
-
Music Comments: Mention any issues with the music (e.g., "no swearing allowed").
-
Voice-Over Adjustments: Specify changes needed for the voice-over (e.g., "Call to action should be for 15% off, not 25%").
-
Text Overlay Changes: Indicate any required changes to text overlays (e.g., "Brand should be capitalized at the 15-sec mark").
Step 3: Request Changes
- After completing your feedback, click on Request Changes. This will compile your feedback into an automated message sent to the creator for revision.
Communication After Feedback
Keep an eye on chat notifications following your feedback submission. The creator may have questions or need clarification before resubmitting the revised content. This ensures a smooth and efficient revision process, keeping both parties aligned and satisfied.
By fostering a collaborative environment and providing constructive feedback, you can help creators produce the most engaging content that meets both their unique styles and your brand's requirements.
